REVIEW : The Millionaire's Forever by Sonya Weiss

 SCHEDULED RELEASE DATE : March 31, 2015

Sign: Gemini

There are two sides to every Gemini guy...and one of them is red-hot.

Olivia Carter has a handsome, millionaire boyfriend. She's madly in love with him. The hitch? He doesn't actually exist. She told the lie to save Forever, her wedding design shop. And it worked-almost too well. As the media attention increases, so do the demands for Olivia to produce her "boyfriend." With both her reputation and career in jeopardy, Olivia is desperate enough to do almost anything...

Which is exactly what millionaire Mason Parker wants. Thanks to Olivia and her father, Mason went through hell during his teen years, and now it's time for a little payback-starting with the announcement that he's her one and only. Now the sexy Olivia has no choice but to do what Mason wants. But none of his plans for vengeance included falling in love with the woman he planned to ruin...
Thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the ARC.

I’m going to admit to pulling an Olivia a couple times in my life; of course my mystery man story never became reality. Sucks for me and it kind of sucks for Olivia too since her dreamboat come to life has a pretty bad history with her and her father.

Years ago, Mason and a few of his buddies were sentenced to some jail time under false accusations. The man leading the charge against them was none other than Olivia’s daddy. Mason and co, feel that Olivia is also responsible since she could have easily stood up for them. The problem is that Olivia doesn’t even remember the events of that day.

Now Mason is free and doing very well for himself but with the death of one of his friends haunting him, his quest for justice is his priority and if he has to use Olivia to get it, he will.

Olivia and Mason can either go along with the showmance or Olivia can risk losing her company and Mason can lose his possible second chance with someone he never really got over.

When the truth finally emerges about the night in question it is fresh on the heels of some other life changing news for the media darlings.

I enjoyed this read, but I can’t help but feel that something was missing in this for me. It was going really well, I enjoyed the interaction between Mason and Olivia and I liked the plot, but it just didn’t feel like a solid and satisfying closer.

One more thing, the title of the book mentions being a “Men of Zodiac” novel. Besides maybe 2 mentions in the book, it doesn’t fit for me and the book title all in all doesn’t work in my opinion but I can let that slide.
