BLURB:
Natalie Shay never imagined a day like this would come. She did what she was supposed to do: graduate college and marry her handsome, popular college sweetheart. With the ink still drying on their divorce papers, Natalie tries to move on from an ending she thought would be happy.

When she feels a spark with her stubborn, charming best friend Aidan Costa, Natalie's life becomes even more unrecognizable. Aidan has been her best friend for years, stood beside her when she got married, and has a notorious aversion to relationships. As confusion and denial overwhelm them, their spark grows.

Held back by a secret he has been keeping his whole life, Aidan decides to ignore his feelings for Natalie. Natalie's discovery of his secret pushes them past the boundaries they've carefully constructed around their friendship.

For Natalie, this could be a second chance at her happily ever after. But when a person from Aidan's past reappears, everything he has built with Natalie is threatened.

REVIEW: POSSIBLE SPOILERS
Okay first things first, I fucking LOVE friends to lovers stories. There is something so beautifully fulfilling as a reader when they are done well. Jennifer Millikin did it PERFECTLY.

Aidan and Natalie become friends at a young age when a high school project brings them together. Aidan is crushing on the preacher's daughter but he learns her family isn't as perfect as the image they put out. As we dip into Aidan's POV, we learn that he is also hiding something.

FAST FORWARD

Natalie is officially divorced and Aidan is Tinders best friend. Natalie is finding it hard to adjust to being single but Aidan is right by her side through every cry and drunken save. It is during a particularly gross and yet vulnerable moment that Natalie asks why they never gave it a go. Warning flags go up for Aidan and he knows they can't cross that line. She's his Best.
Shit gets awkward as Aidan stays hooking up with this girl Allison, who I just KNEW was gonna be a blister on my ass.
Moving on, its Thanksgiving and wedding time, Aidan and Natalie head on to visit their families. This is where I get a genuine holy shit moment.
Aidan's family is DEFINITELY DIFFERENT.
Seems like this was his big secret and it didnt really imapct the story at all.
Now the wedding, whew, you know whats up.
Drinking, dancing, jealousy and probably one of my favorite confessions of love that I have ever read. I fucking cried like a bitch.

Now of course, where would we be without angst, and jesus crackers this fucking HURT.

SPOILER ALERT
SPOILER ALERT

fucking allison is pregnant

I almost chucked my digital copy to the trash bin. I felt my chest tighten in pain, Jennifer may have given me a goddamn heartattack.
Aidan and Natalie split and I grab the ice cream cuz shits tough, but they stay BEST.
Then it happens, bitch be lying, Aidan may NOT be the daddy. Aidan runs to snatch up his love and they reunite.
Then another drop, scene closes with unkown paternity results and tears.
Now before I get through the second paragraph of the epilogue, I have to learn to breathe again.

HE IS NOT THE FATHER BUT HE IS A DADDY :")

Natalie and Aidan have a buddle and they are now friends with Allison (meh)

I havent written a review so long in awhile for a book it took me 2 hours to read. BLESS
